The cut-out design lets me see the frame lines in my viewfinder without having to guess, something my old round hood never did. It threads on smoothly and feels solid without adding too much weight to my camera.

Finally, a lens hood that doesn't block the optical viewfinder on my XF16mm—the cutout is a lifesaver for composing shots. The anodised aluminum feels premium and solid, a huge step up from cheap plastic ones I've tried.
