Our hood for the Summicron 28mm V1 ASPH.

Considerably smaller than Leica's offering, this hood is mounted to the filter threads and allows the use of a 46mm filter as well.

The hood is made of aluminium and comes with a click on plastic cap.

A cutout to allow the photographer a less obstructed view of the frame.

The aluminum build feels solid without adding bulk, and I love that it’s noticeably more compact than the original while still letting me screw on a 46mm filter. Mounting is quick and snug, no wobble at all.

Wasn't sure about screwing a hood into the filter threads, but it snugs on tight and hasn't budged. Being able to stack a 46mm filter on the front is the whole reason I switched. The aluminium has a nice solid feel without adding bulk.
