I was worried a metal hood would feel heavy on such a tiny lens, but the aluminium is thin and barely adds any weight. The pinch cap clicks on securely and I can leave a 39mm filter screwed in underneath.

The aluminium body feels properly solid, and the pinch cap snaps on tight without rattling. Fits the 39mm thread perfectly on my 23mm, and it's slim enough that I just leave it on. Exactly what I hoped for.

The aluminium build feels solid and doesn’t add much weight to the lens, which is exactly what I wanted for everyday carry. The pinch cap works fine but it’s a bit stiff to pop on and off one-handed. Still, it does the job on my 39mm filter thread without any vignetting.
